It's been a while since my last post here. I've been busy. There was a slight upheaval in my real life - I had to go find myself. Not sure that I did but to cut a long story short I travelled through Italy to Greece, worked in Santorini and travelled the islands. Temple to temple. Eventually I wound up at the ancient site of Delphi where I walked to the Corycian cave, high above Delphi - and there I sought the oracle and I swear I heard her... her murmuring over-layed with the drone of bees. She was as ambiguous as the ancients describe.
"Change!" she said.
"Change what?" I replied.
Everything is change. There is no status quo, nothing remains, everything is torn apart, skin is split, it heals, we move on... forward to the next wound. I love life. I love living. I like to delve on in, to dive in. I sacrificed notions of career and family long ago. I embrace the narrow defile that sweeps up the mountains toward the caves where serpents dwell. Stasis is death.
Other news: Nu-City Blues is still an on-going concern. I'm working frantically to complete book two because I've a feeling I might be in Athens, Greece for the winter. Athens is city I adore. I love the chaos there. There's a real sense of the modern co-existing with the glorious fragments and remnants of the past.
